The Shark Puppies were designed by Kelly V. Kerr. Kelly designed the
Shark Puppy characters and envisioned these wonderful creatures
coming to life in stories and being reproduced on clothing and other
items for children.
Kelly had dreamed of these adorable sharks for nearly 10 years. During
that time with collaboration from his fiancée, the Shark Puppies were
born. In November 2006, he was diagnosed with terminal melanoma
cancer. As Kelly's time on earth grew shorter, his determination that
the Shark Puppies would come to life grew stronger.
Kelly saw each Shark Puppy as a unique character with its own
individual personality. Kelly commissioned his mother,
Nancy Rogers-Hait, to write stories about the Shark Puppies and their
adventures in the sea.
Kelly wanted to leave behind a legacy for his two daughters,
Kari and Hayley, and for those that he loved. Family and friends came
together to help fulfill his dream by forming the Shark Puppies, LLC, a
company dedicated to fulfilling Kelly’s dream and keeping it alive.
We hope that you too will fall in love with these playful shark puppy
characters as you and your children join them on many fun filled
adventures in the children’s book series, “Shark Puppies Adventures.”
