| I would like to welcome you to our website and introduce you to the Shark Puppies. |
Habersham the Hammerhead Shark Puppy, Nikki the Nurse Shark Puppy, Benny the Blue Shark Puppy and
Trina the Tiger Shark Puppy were created by my son, Kelly V. Kerr, a talented designer and musician.
Kelly first introduced me to his shark puppies during the last few months of his life after being
diagnosed with terminal melanoma. After his diagnosis, we had four very good months filled with family
time, love and bonding. During this time, Kelly asked me to write about the characters he had created
and share those stories with children everywhere.
Kelly knew of my love for writing and knew I had written poems for births, birthdays, anniversaries and
special occasions for friends and family throughout his lifetime. I had also completed a romance novel
and was working on a couple of others prior to making time with Kelly my priority. Until the time Kelly
asked me to write about his shark puppies, I had not considered writing children’s stories, but I could
not refuse his request and started the first story prior to Kelly’s death.
